About Me
Hello! I’m so glad you’re here.
I’m Fajilatun — a software engineer, mother, and lifelong learner who enjoys creating things and solving problems.
From software engineering to data science
My professional journey began in software engineering, where I spent my early career building applications and learning how technology can be used to solve real-world problems. After a few years in the industry, I became fascinated by data, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. That curiosity eventually led me to pursue a Master’s degree in Data Science. Since then, I’ve worked across both software engineering and data science roles, building machine learning solutions, AI-powered applications, and large-scale software systems.
What I enjoy most about this work is the process of solving problems. There is something deeply satisfying about starting with a challenge, breaking it down into smaller pieces, and slowly working towards a solution.

Started sewing as a new mum
A different kind of making
Outside of work, I enjoy creating things in a different way.
Growing up, I watched my mom and aunts sew, but I never seriously tried it myself because it seemed far too complicated. Years later, after becoming a mother in 2023, I found myself wanting comfortable, modest clothing made from natural fabrics for both myself and my daughter. Finding the right combination of style, fit, fabric, and affordability wasn’t always easy, so I decided to try sewing.
My very first project was a dress for my daughter. It didn’t fit particularly well, but it was enough to spark a new interest, and I’ve been learning ever since.

What this blog is about
This blog is where I share the things I’m learning, building, and thinking about. You’ll find posts about software engineering, AI, sewing, entrepreneurship, motherhood, and the occasional lesson that comes from trying something new.
I don’t claim to be an expert in everything I write about. This is simply a place to document the journey, share ideas, and reflect on the things I’m creating along the way.
Thanks for stopping by
If any of that resonates with you, I hope you’ll stick around.
